Relationships don't always work the way we want them to. When we reach a point of not knowing what to do, or how to make things better, getting help sooner than later may make all the difference.
As a trained and Certified Gottman Method Therapist, I integrate research-based approaches in helping couples grow closer, manage differences, and create opportunities for shared meaning and connection. Working as a relationship coach, I provide couples tools to deepen their friendship and effectively deal with conflict, especially with the "stuck issues".
Couples struggling with addiction and recovery issues
are offered therapy integrating Gottman Method approaches based on my research at Mental Research Institute and in collaboration with Dr. John Gottman.

"The Roadmap for the Journey" is a
two-day research-based workshop evolving out of my research on long- term recovery through the
Mental Research Institute in Palo Alto, California. The workshop is a collaboration with Drs. John & Julie
Gottman, integrating and adapting Gottman Method and interventions
specifically for recovering couples. A new "Couple Recovery" can be established to help support each partner's individual recovery as well as the relationship recovery. As a Research Scientist with Dr. John Gottman's Relationship Research Institute (research home of the original "Love Lab") the CARE model will be a continuing study in a relational approach to recovery from chemical dependency.
What to expect
Couples will be given practical tools for:
Establishing healthy boundaries by redefining roles in the relationship and in
recovery; discussing appropriate ways to understand and support individual
recovery programs; establishing new patterns in the relationship to discuss and
manage joint responsibilities (children, finances, etc.); managing conflict;
being able to talk about addiction and recovery without blame or defensiveness;
develop a "Couple Recovery" that also supports individual recovery.
